Behavioural assessment techniques allow you to measure the performance of a candidate firsthand. Obtaining an understanding of how they perform in a team, their leadership style, and how they make decisions under pressure can all be assessed using this approach. Behavioural assessment is based on the premise that the best predictor of future performance is past performance, and this method allows you to assess such behaviour in a rigorous, objective, and defensible manner. Whilst behavioural assessment measures the actual performance of a candidate, combining this with psychometric assessment, which measures the potential of the candidate, allows you to obtain a comprehensive assessment of the candidate's current level of performance, and their potential to develop their skills within your organisation and the relevant role.
